NEWS! Submit your paper

Authors of papers presented (as long = 20 minutes presentations) at the virtual DHA 39 in Sibiu who would like to submit their papers for publication are invited to do so by 5 March 2021 (or as close to that date as possible).
Texts should be submitted in English using Microsoft Word (Word 365 or earlier versions are acceptable; PC – IBM – format, please, not Mac). Tables may be submitted as Excel files if desired. Tables, captions and all illustrations should be submitted as separate files; please do not embed them in the text. At this stage, as your paper is to be refereed, colour illustrations may be submitted as low resolution images (jpg files or similar), in a PDF or PowerPoint file if you wish (this will not be acceptable at the final stage when high resolution colour images are required). If English is not your first language it would be helpful to have your text checked by a native English speaker, or by someone who is fluent in English (particularly written English), before you submit it, if possible.

The final publication of the papers will be in a combined volume with those submitted for the forthcoming conference, DHA 40.

Dear participants,

Thank you all for your interest in the 39th DHA Conference, Online edition!

We are pleased to inform you that the Programme is now available and can be downloaded here https://39dha2020sibiu.wordpress.com/programme/

The conference will take place on the google meet platform, starting from 11:30 AM București time (GMT+3), on the 15th of October, 2020.

Useful information

Access:

You will soon receive on your e-mail address the google meet link necessary for your participation to the conference.

During the conference we kindly ask you to close the microphones of your computers. Those of you who wish to attend the conference using cellular phones are advised to install forehand google meet.

Addressing questions:

The questions and answers section will be held only in regard to the 20 minutes presentations.

If it is your case, please, consider writing down your question in the comment’s windows in the following way:

YOUR NAME – to – AUTHOR’S NAME: Question?

When the question and answer section will start, the Chair of the Session will ask all the questions and each speaker will answer to them.

Your presentation:

We kindly ask you to have forehand prepared the presentations (PowerPoint), easily to access.

For those of you less familiarized with google meet, you need to know that when your turn will come, by using the button PRESENT, option YOUR ENTIRE SCREEN, the presentation from your computer will be shared with all the participants. Authors of both 5 and 20 minutes presentations are kindly asked to respect the schedule according to the programme.

39th Dyes in History and Archaeology ONLINE Meeting

Thank you very much for your participation in the survey regarding the organization of the 39th international conference for Dyes in History and Archaeology (DHA 39)!

Considering the actual circumstances created by the Covid-19 pandemic as well as the answers received from the DHA group, the 39th Dyes in History and Archaeology Meeting will be organized as an ONLINE event, on 15-16 October 2020.

The event is free, but is limited to 80 participants. Priority will be given to lecturers!

You are kindly invited to send your abstract (no more than 500 words) at dha39sibiu@gmail.com email address, by the 1st of September, 2020. Please indicate whether you would prefer to make an oral presentation (20 minutes) or a short communication of a poster (5 minutes).

Important Notice on 2020 DHA Conference

In the actual context regarding the Covid-19 pandemic, the Dyes in History and Archaeology 39 Organizing Committee is hardly trying to find the ideal solution regarding the conference organization, being concerned both about the meeting success and the participants’ safety.

To prepare ourselves according to the current situation, we would like to ask you to answer the following questions:

1. Do you plan to travel to Sibiu, to attend the DHA 39 meeting, on 14-17October 2020, as scheduled?
